Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Denis Săndulescu took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute Ramon Lombera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gheorghe Gherasim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Costel Tecău charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Costel Tecău the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 6 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Naeni! In the 7th minute there was a penalty for CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA. Albert Stegaru stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gheorghe Gherasim. 0-1. After 16 played minutes Naeni got a freekick which was hit by Octav Zbughină. After 17 minutes of play, CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's Ramon Lombera made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gheorghe Gherasim was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 23rd minute, Moise Zbârciog hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes into the match, Naeni's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Săndulescu came free, but Gheorghe Gherasim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute, Denis Săndulescu made a precise shot to the right of Gheorghe Gherasim. Naeni's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Osvaldo Fontana kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Gheorghe Gherasim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramon Lombera in the 38th minute of the match. When Moise Zbârciog came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Naeni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moise Zbârciog couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute Denis Săndulescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gheorghe Gherasim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Naeni defense, Denis Săndulescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gheorghe Gherasim. The Naeni fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gheorghe Gherasim should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Moise Zbârciog stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Moise Zbârciog's late challenge caught a CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Moise Zbârciog helped the player get up and apologised. Cornel Filimon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costel Colin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gheorghe Gherasim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ramon Lombera went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Petruț Bobocea during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Petruț Bobocea hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramon Lombera got free with Gheorghe Gherasim in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Moise Zbârciog sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Moise Zbârciog in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cornel Filimon saved CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA from getting behind. In the 84th match minute, CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bogdan Isărescu to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moise Zbârciog in the 91st minute of play forced CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's goalkeeper Cornel Filimon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denis Săndulescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gheorghe Gherasim having to interfere.
