Cornel Filimon came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Cipanul FC's Matei Tender. But to his dismay, Matei Tender quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Cornel Filimon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nae Costin's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Cipanul FC were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Matei Tender took the corner. The corner led to Cipanul FC's Raúl Gonzáles getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 18th minute, Raúl Gonzáles made a precise shot to the right of Cornel Filimon. CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's Cornel Filimon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matei Tender in the 31st minute of play. Cornel Filimon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raúl Gonzáles's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nae Costin in the 40th minute of play forced CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's goalkeeper Cornel Filimon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Albert Rânceanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes into the match, CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's goal looked a bit too open when Matei Tender came free, but Cornel Filimon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Raúl Gonzáles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Cornel Filimon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Cipanul FC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nae Costin to make the kick off. From close distance Raúl Gonzáles pressed in the 0-5 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 52 minutes into the game. Raúl Gonzáles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Cornel Filimon made a huge save. Raúl Gonzáles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornel Filimon having to interfere. If Raúl Gonzáles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's Cornel Filimon got control of the ball when Matei Tender tried to sneak it across the goal line. Matei Tender recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Matei Tender had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With an all-out effort, Cipanul FC's Cornel Filimon threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nae Costin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 77th minute, Bogdan Isărescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Nae Costin scored to the left of an out of position Cornel Filimon, making the score, 0-6. After having played for 84 minutes, Răzvan Potoroacă managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cipanul FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Răzvan Potoroacă was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 86th minute, when Matei Tender scored to the left of an out of position Cornel Filimon, making the score, 0-7. The supporters of Cipanul FC booed when CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horaţiu Jurcuț didn't get a good kick on the ball. CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Nae Costin scored to the left of an out of position Cornel Filimon, making the score, 0-8.
