A wasted opportunity for CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA. 36 minutes into the match, Ivan Ghionea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cornel Filimon. CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ivan Ghionea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Marian Enișteanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denis Săndulescu in the 45th minute of the match. Dan Malcocea kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Denis Săndulescu was the one to do the kick off. Marian Enișteanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Săndulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emil Opaina struck a weak shot in the 57th minute.
