Bogdan Stelea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augustin Rusu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Club Infinity Bacau's zone, Roberto da Fonseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damian Honcioiu came out of the goal and Roberto da Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Club Infinity Bacau booed when FC DINAMO Bucuresti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Fertus didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ionuț Panțuru was the one to do the kick off. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 68th minute Sorin Cartiș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Honcioiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 95 in the game by Cristian Barna from a close distance when the talented Bogdan Stelea managed to make a qualified save. FC DINAMO Bucuresti's players were relieved. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC DINAMO Bucuresti had won after a very even match.
