Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 159) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Toader Burca took the kick off in the first half of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Poli AEK's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Şerb came free, but Nicolae Ghiorman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by Poli AEK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Toader Burca was slow to take the kick. During this time Romania's players had a chance to rest. Cristian Firus short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Nicolae Ghiorman to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Cristian Firu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Toader Burca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicolae Ghiorman was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. In the 21st minute, 倪凌宁 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maxim Nisipeanu's late challenge caught a Poli AEK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maxim Nisipeanu helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Poli AEK booed when Romania was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maxim Nisipeanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Toader Burca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Poli AEK's Nicolae Ghiorman got control of the ball when Damian Şerb tried to sneak it across the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Damian Şerb had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nicolae Ghiorman. Poli AEK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damian Şerb was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Toader Burca in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicolae Ghiorman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nicolae Ghiorman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Firu in the 39th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Toader Burca in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicolae Ghiorman saved Poli AEK from getting behind. 44 minutes into the match, Toader Burca notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Poli AEK's Nicolae Ghiorman. Nicolae Ghiorman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The wind increased when Wictor Brovall made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wictor Brovall in the 50th minute of play forced Romania's goalkeeper Leontin Racoviceanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 53 minutes of play, Romania's Damian Şerb made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicolae Ghiorman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cristian Firu struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Nicolae Ghiorman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Romania. In the 62nd minute Toader Burca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolae Ghiorman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cazimir Pătran scored 4-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nicolae Ghiorman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Toader Burca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Romania made a substitution. Pompiliu Tomoioagă replaced Toader Burca. Nicolae Ghiorman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Firu in the 70th minute of play. Nicolae Ghiorman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurențiu Meleșcanu in the 71st minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, Romania's George Ghinescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicolae Ghiorman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. After a defensive mix-up in Poli AEK's zone, Damian Şerb stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicolae Ghiorman came out of the goal and Damian Şerb tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Romania's Pompiliu Tomoioagă in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Poli AEK's goalie prevented a goal. After 78 minutes Poli AEK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Manole Valerian who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Manole Valerian got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nicolae Ghiorman quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Poli AEK's Ramiro Vargas got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute Damian Şerb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolae Ghiorman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicolae Ghiorman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cazimir Pătran in the 85th minute of the match. Nicolae Ghiorman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Ghinescu in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Şerb in the 88th minute of play forced Poli AEK's goalkeeper Nicolae Ghiorman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicolae Ghiorman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Şerb, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Şerb in the 93rd minute of play forced Poli AEK's goalkeeper Nicolae Ghiorman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Romania were the better team. Romania's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
