Iurie Avacariței might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mihail Atanasiu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iurie Avacariței ran back to his position shaking his head. Olimpic Sibiu's Sebastian Bărbulescu was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 22nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Mihail Atanasiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iurie Avacariței, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 31st minute, Petru Bărcăuan made a precise shot to the right of Mihail Atanasiu. Olimpic Sibiu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Ştefan Deșliu went to the cornerflag to take it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ştefan Deșliu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Avantul Hirlau's goal looked a bit too open when Ştefan Deșliu came free, but Maxim Nae reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a long run with the ball, Ştefan Deșliu did a trick in the 66th minute in front of Avantul Hirlau's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 3-1. An impressive performance by Olimpic Sibiu's Ştefan Deșliu!
