The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rareș Hulubei to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, UFC STEAUA's João Massa got control of the ball when Rareș Hulubei tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rareș Hulubei who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of João Massa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Ştefan Tulbure came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Janova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ştefan Tulbure couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermengildo Jobo in the 96th minute of play forced Janova's goalkeeper Ke Guang Yi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 98 minutes into the match, Janova's Branimir Kandev sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that João Massa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Janova's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
