After 17 played minutes Loraul got a freekick which was hit by Viorel Mincu. The audience was convinced that Sabin Ştirbu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manole Danciu was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Sabin Ştirbu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Loraul getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Virgil Stolojan hit a great ball. Manole Danciu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sabin Ştirbu went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sever Cimpoieru in the 35th minute of play forced Hoghiz's goalkeeper Severiano Bastian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Manole Danciu managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when Hoghiz's Sabin Ştirbu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sever Cimpoieru took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Severiano Bastian. Severiano Bastian dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 48 minutes into the match, Loraul's goalkeeper Manole Danciu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuel Antohi. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Sever Cimpoieru made the kick off in the second half. Hoghiz's Emanuel Antohi got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th match minute, Hoghiz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Antohi to maneuver through the defense. Hoghiz's Sabin Ştirbu got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 70 minutes of play, Hoghiz's Vintilă Logofătu made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manole Danciu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Manole Danciu came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Hoghiz's Sabin Ştirbu. But to his dismay, Sabin Ştirbu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Manole Danciu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vintilă Logofătu, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. A collision led to Loraul getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Eliodor Plop hit a great ball. Emanuel Antohi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Manole Danciu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Sabin Ştirbu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manole Danciu was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Emanuel Antohi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hoghiz's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Antohi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manole Danciu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hoghiz's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
