Allan Shearer might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Severiano Bastian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Allan Shearer ran back to his position shaking his head. Nistor Maghiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Antohi in the 15th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Allan Shearer in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. After a defensive mix-up in Hoghiz's zone, Allan Shearer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severiano Bastian came out of the goal and Allan Shearer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hoghiz's Severiano Bastian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niculae Şantău in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute Allan Shearer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severiano Bastian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
