When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Marian Gorunescu sped through REPUBLICII -MM-'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ahmet Gündüz Yöntem. 19 minutes into the match, Sentot Likumahua notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of REPUBLICII -MM-'s Ahmet Gündüz Yöntem. Ahmet Gündüz Yöntem was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ahmet Gündüz Yöntem stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marian Gorunescu's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. 33 minutes into the match, REPUBLICII -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Sentot Likumahua came free, but Ahmet Gündüz Yöntem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But to his dismay, Marian Gorunescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Marian Gorunescu took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ahmet Gündüz Yöntem. Ahmet Gündüz Yöntem dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Disappointed in the 0-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Marian Gorunescu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Ahmet Gündüz Yöntem when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Gherdan in the 67th minute of play forced -BZF- Chimia Buzau's goalkeeper Trpimir Čaplar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of -BZF- Chimia Buzau booed when REPUBLICII -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vasile Andriescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the last second Ahmet Gündüz Yöntem throw himself and got hold of the ball when Marian Gorunescu in the 70thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Gherdan in the 71st minute of play forced -BZF- Chimia Buzau's goalkeeper Trpimir Čaplar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horia Pavel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Ahmet Gündüz Yöntem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Ahmet Gündüz Yöntem managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when -BZF- Chimia Buzau's Marian Gorunescu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 81st match minute, -BZF- Chimia Buzau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Mihăilă to maneuver through the defense. -BZF- Chimia Buzau's Trpimir Čaplar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Gherdan in the 82nd minute of play. Ahmet Gündüz Yöntem stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marian Gorunescu's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. In the 88th match minute, REPUBLICII -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasile Andriescu to maneuver through the defense. 89 minutes into the game, Marian Gorunescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Ahmet Gündüz Yöntem was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 98 played minutes -BZF- Chimia Buzau got a freekick which was hit by Pompiliu Ghișerel.
