Ivan Greavu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 45 minutes into the match, Liviu Găvănescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivan Greavu. Real Blue's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Liviu Găvănescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mugur Hurmuzescu made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Horia Savu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. After a defensive mix-up in Real Blue's zone, Liviu Găvănescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Greavu came out of the goal and Liviu Găvănescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Liviu Găvănescu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ivan Greavu came out and tried to block the shot, but Liviu Găvănescu slotted it home off the left post making it 0-10 in the 76th minute. Ivan Greavu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liviu Găvănescu in the 79th minute of the match. Horia Savu struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Ivan Greavu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN. 82 minutes into the game, PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN's Liviu Găvănescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ivan Greavu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-11. Ivan Greavu made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Hồ Ho sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Real Blue getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Mugur Hurmuzescu hit a great ball. Real Blue's Ivan Greavu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liviu Găvănescu in the 92nd minute of play. PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
