The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aron Vizitiu during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 9th match minute, Academia Rio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucian Petriceanu to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the game, Jean Oltean was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Academia Rio's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Crenvusti United the free kick. FC Crenvusti United's Cornel Pușcariu was substituted for Georgi Kinkladze. In the 12th minute, Jean Oltean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Academia Rio's Alex Nicolae managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by George Manea in the 15 minute of the game. After some careless play in the FC Crenvusti United defense, Sergiu Coșeriu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Artur Dula. The FC Crenvusti United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Artur Dula should have stopped the shot. After 19 played minutes Sakarias Drewitz rounded Academia Rio's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sergiu Coșeriu in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Artur Dula saved FC Crenvusti United from getting behind. A sloppy throw-in by George Manea in the 25th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Academia Rio's Mihai Oniga. Artur Dula stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sergiu Coșeriu's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Gigel Tilea had great luck who in the 30thth minute grab hold of the ball when Emanuel Mirciulescu from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 32nd minute of the match FC Crenvusti United got a corner. Academia Rio's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. George Manea ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on FC Crenvusti United's corner Cornel Pușcariu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gigel Tilea quite easily take care of the ball. With a little luck, Academia Rio's Gigel Tilea got control of the ball when Emanuel Mirciulescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Artur Dula stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sergiu Coșeriu's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. When Academia Rio's Sergiu Coșeriu in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Mirciulescu in the 46th minute of play forced Academia Rio's goalkeeper Gigel Tilea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Academia Rio getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Lucian Petriceanu hit a great ball. After 48 played minutes, FC Crenvusti United's George Manea shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gigel Tilea came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Crenvusti United reached it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Academia Rio's Gigel Tilea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Endel Uudevald in the 52nd minute of play. Artur Dula made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergiu Coșeriu in the 55th minute of play. Artur Dula stood somewhat misplaced when Sergiu Coșeriu came free in front of goal and shot 1-3 to the left of him in the 55 minute. Aron Vizitiu scored 2-3 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gigel Tilea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 68th minute, Sakarias Drewitz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Crenvusti United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Sergiu Coșeriu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gigel Tilea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sakarias Drewitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Artur Dula stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sergiu Coșeriu's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Academia Rio's goal looked a bit too open when Sakarias Drewitz came free, but Gigel Tilea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gigel Tilea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emanuel Mirciulescu went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergiu Coșeriu in the 91st minute of play forced FC Crenvusti United's goalkeeper Artur Dula to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Academia Rio's attentive Adrian Blănaru managed to snatch the ball when George Manea made a throw-in in the 92nd minute of the game. After 93 played minutes Academia Rio got a freekick which was hit by Eric Pășcuțoiu. In the 94th match minute, FC Crenvusti United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sakarias Drewitz to maneuver through the defense. Codrin Ionete kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
