Tudor Ene stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leonard Luican's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. Ciprian Bordeianu charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ciprian Bordeianu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gigel Nicolaescu hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Tudor Ene came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Strimbulici SC's Narcis Vermeşan. But to his dismay, Narcis Vermeşan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Narcis Vermeşan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tudor Ene made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Luican in the 24th minute of play. Ilie Unciuleanu made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 28thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Iordache Băncilă would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Liverpool's Tudor Ene played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonard Luican in the 33rd minute of play. Tudor Ene made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Luican in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th match minute, Liverpool was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petre Boldur to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute Leonard Luican shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tudor Ene saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Liverpool's Tudor Ene played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narcis Vermeşan in the 41st minute of play. Tudor Ene took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narcis Vermeşan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute Leonard Luican shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tudor Ene saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ilie Unciuleanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tudor Ene made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narcis Vermeşan in the 53rd minute of play. After having played for 54 minutes, Narcis Vermeşan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Strimbulici SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Narcis Vermeşan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Martin Hudiță charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martin Hudiță the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56th minute, Martin Hudiță hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ilie Unciuleanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tudor Ene came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Strimbulici SC's Leonard Luican. But to his dismay, Leonard Luican quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 68 played minutes Strimbulici SC got a freekick which was hit by Ioan Negrițoiu. Horia Oțeteleșanu hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Liverpool's zone, Leonard Luican stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tudor Ene came out of the goal and Leonard Luican tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Martin Hudiță hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Ilie Unciuleanu struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Iordache Băncilă didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liverpool. 90 minutes into the match, Liverpool's goalkeeper Tudor Ene had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sever Barbălată. Tudor Ene showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narcis Vermeşan, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute.
