Andrei Duțulescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emanuel Geambașu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Jean-Pierre Cantona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emanuel Geambașu. Atalanta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jean-Pierre Cantona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jean-Pierre Cantona in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emanuel Geambașu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andrei Duțulescu kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. A collision led to Atalanta getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Cosmin Blejan hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Pierre Cantona in the 15th minute of play forced Atalanta's goalkeeper Emanuel Geambașu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atalanta's Marius Capătă suffered a sore thigh after 16 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucas Cedro during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Atalanta's Marcel Moscu was substituted for Marius Capătă. Lucas Cedro hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. The corner went over the outstretched arms of FC Flavia's goalie and right to Pompiliu Baștină. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. FC Flavia's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Emanuel Geambașu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean-Pierre Cantona in the 25th minute of the match. With a little luck, FC Flavia's Gelmiro Somarribas got control of the ball when Iacob Postelnicu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Emanuel Geambașu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean-Pierre Cantona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuel Geambașu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Cedro in the 36th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Lucas Cedro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mihnea Apostu struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Emanuel Geambașu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Flavia. The Atalanta players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Flavia were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jean-Pierre Cantona made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Atalanta's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Cedro came free, but Emanuel Geambașu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 53 minutes of play, FC Flavia's Jean-Pierre Cantona made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emanuel Geambașu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Emanuel Geambașu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Cedro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Atalanta's Emanuel Geambașu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Atalanta from getting a goal against them. If Fabian Bratiloveanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Cedro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72ndth minute of the game Lucas Cedro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atalanta's Emanuel Geambașu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emanuel Geambașu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jean-Pierre Cantona in the 74th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pompiliu Baștină in the 76th minute of play forced FC Flavia's goalkeeper Gelmiro Somarribas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gelmiro Somarribas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iacob Postelnicu in the 79th minute of play. 80 minutes into the game, FC Flavia's Lucas Cedro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emanuel Geambașu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Atalanta's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Lucas Cedro scored to the left of an out of position Emanuel Geambașu, making the score, 0-4. 86 minutes into the match, Atalanta's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Cedro came free, but Emanuel Geambașu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Flavia's attack was well implemented in the 87th minute, but when Mihnea Apostu was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Mihnea Apostu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emanuel Geambașu. That made the score 0-5 in the 89 minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Lucas Cedro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Emanuel Geambașu. The goal made the score 0-6. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FC Flavia walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
