Codrin Barbăneagră showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edoardo Marcucci in the 29th minute of the match. Bogdan Sârban could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Herbert Wierzchowski made a huge save. Herbert Wierzchowski was a little too slow when Bogdan Sârban got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 2-0. Codrin Barbăneagră made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remus Zdrobiş in the 34th minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Remus Zdrobiş stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Herbert Wierzchowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Răuţă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Unirea Castelul Nou's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
