Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sergiu Corcoveanu in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Șerban Ştercă prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Berliste defense, Emilian Lera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Șerban Ştercă. The Berliste fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Șerban Ştercă should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ionel Marchiș made a kick off. Șerban Ştercă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergiu Corcoveanu in the 51st minute of play. The supporters of Berliste booed when Armata 2003 Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marian Covrig didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Armata 2003 Cluj-Napoca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emilian Pora should have stopped the shot. Horia Leahu hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Armata 2003 Cluj-Napoca's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
