In the 2nd minute, Marin Hălmăgeanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emilian Lera received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zeus Phoenix came out and tried to block the shot, but Emilian Lera slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 6th minute. The supporters of Halinga booed when Armata 2003 Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augustin Ponta didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Halinga's Zeus Phoenix got control of the ball when Sergiu Corcoveanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, Denis Constantiniu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Emilian Pora was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Emilian Lera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeus Phoenix having to interfere. Emilian Lera struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Zeus Phoenix didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Armata 2003 Cluj-Napoca. Zeus Phoenix made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sergiu Corcoveanu in the 41st minute. Armata 2003 Cluj-Napoca's Emilian Pora played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iurie Bucataru in the 43rd minute of play. Zeus Phoenix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergiu Corcoveanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sergiu Corcoveanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emilian Lera in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeus Phoenix saved Halinga from getting behind. Zeus Phoenix came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Armata 2003 Cluj-Napoca's Sergiu Corcoveanu. But to his dismay, Sergiu Corcoveanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. After some careless play in the Halinga defense, Emilian Lera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zeus Phoenix. The Halinga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zeus Phoenix should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergiu Corcoveanu in the 63rd minute of play forced Halinga's goalkeeper Zeus Phoenix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Halinga's goal looked a bit too open when Sergiu Corcoveanu came free, but Zeus Phoenix reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armata 2003 Cluj-Napoca's Mugur Tremurici suffered a concussion in the 69th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 69 minutes into the game, Dan Burileanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Halinga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Armata 2003 Cluj-Napoca the free kick. Armata 2003 Cluj-Napoca made a substitution. Nicu Crăiță replaced Mugur Tremurici. Dan Burileanu kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. A collision led to Armata 2003 Cluj-Napoca getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Marian Covrig hit a great ball. Emilian Lera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeus Phoenix having to interfere. Emilian Pora made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Denis Constantiniu sent off a good shot on target. Nicu Crăiță's late challenge caught a Halinga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicu Crăiță helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd minute, Nicu Crăiță hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute Iurie Bucataru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilian Pora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iurie Bucataru had several of the Armata 2003 Cluj-Napoca's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 86 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 4-2 score and a disappointed Emilian Pora as he didn't even see the shot coming. Halinga's Zeus Phoenix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergiu Corcoveanu in the 91st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilian Lera in the 93rd minute of play forced Halinga's goalkeeper Zeus Phoenix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of Halinga:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Armata 2003 Cluj-Napoca:s goal. When the referee ended the match the Armata 2003 Cluj-Napoca players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
