Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 125) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sergiu Corcoveanu kicked off to start the match. After having played for 3 minutes, Emilian Lera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Armata 2003 Cluj-Napoca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilian Lera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 10 minutes into the game, Nae Boteanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AS Fulgerul Ploieşti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Armata 2003 Cluj-Napoca the free kick. In the 10th minute, Nae Boteanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nae Boteanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Emilian Pora made a huge save. After having played for 20 minutes, Sergiu Corcoveanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Armata 2003 Cluj-Napoca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergiu Corcoveanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emilian Pora showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nae Boteanu in the 26th minute of the match. In the 28th minute AS Fulgerul Ploieşti were awarded a corner. Pompiliu Cristocea went to the cornerflag to take it. AS Fulgerul Ploieşti's Victor Pacurar was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Emilian Pora in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 32 minutes into the game, Pompiliu Cristocea recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Emilian Pora. Pompiliu Cristocea showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 37 minutes into the game, Ivan Ciuvică was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AS Fulgerul Ploieşti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Armata 2003 Cluj-Napoca the free kick. After a rather tough play, AS Fulgerul Ploieşti's Ivan Ciuvică got a free kick in the 37th minute. Luca Halipa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergiu Corcoveanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Sergiu Corcoveanu took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luca Halipa. Luca Halipa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nae Boteanu made a kick off. Pompiliu Cristocea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Emilian Pora tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Armata 2003 Cluj-Napoca getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Mihai Doicaru hit a great ball. Iordache Gliga's late challenge caught a AS Fulgerul Ploieşti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iordache Gliga helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd minute, Iordache Gliga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emilian Pora came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by AS Fulgerul Ploieşti's Pompiliu Cristocea. But to his dismay, Pompiliu Cristocea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. If Nae Boteanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luca Halipa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilian Lera in the 71st minute of play. After 72 played minutes Armata 2003 Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Marian Covrig. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Emilian Lera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Armata 2003 Cluj-Napoca's supporters rose to their feet, but Emilian Lera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luca Halipa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Augustin Ponta kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After 82 played minutes Armata 2003 Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Sergiu Corcoveanu. After 83 played minutes Armata 2003 Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Sergiu Corcoveanu. When Pompiliu Cristocea came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the AS Fulgerul Ploieşti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pompiliu Cristocea couldn't finish the play. Emilian Lera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the match, Pompiliu Cristocea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emilian Pora. Armata 2003 Cluj-Napoca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pompiliu Cristocea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Armata 2003 Cluj-Napoca players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for AS Fulgerul Ploieşti.
