When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Petruț Sângeorzan sped through FC CETATE DEVA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gigel Șeimeanu. After a defensive mix-up in CBF Csikszereda's zone, Ernest Grecescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Corneliu Giurgiu came out of the goal and Ernest Grecescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 24 minutes into the game, Ernest Grecescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC CETATE DEVA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CBF Csikszereda the free kick. Ernest Grecescu hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Gigel Șeimeanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petruț Sângeorzan in the 26th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FC CETATE DEVA's Narcis Rădoi got a free kick in the 27th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernest Grecescu in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Corneliu Giurgiu saved CBF Csikszereda from getting behind. In the 31stth minute of the game Ernest Grecescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CBF Csikszereda's Corneliu Giurgiu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 32nd minute FC CETATE DEVA were awarded a corner. Kaj Bogren went to the cornerflag to take it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Petruț Sângeorzan in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gigel Șeimeanu saved FC CETATE DEVA from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernest Grecescu in the 40th minute of play forced CBF Csikszereda's goalkeeper Corneliu Giurgiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, CBF Csikszereda's Corneliu Giurgiu got control of the ball when Dragoş Măgură tried to sneak it across the goal line. Corneliu Giurgiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernest Grecescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petruț Sângeorzan in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gigel Șeimeanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 70 minutes into the game, Cătălin Turcu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corneliu Giurgiu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to FC CETATE DEVA getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Iosif Abraham hit a great ball. In the 84thth minute of the game Petruț Sângeorzan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC CETATE DEVA's Gigel Șeimeanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 91st minute of the match Dan Goiciu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gigel Șeimeanu skillfully saved the ball.
