In the 14thth minute of the game Ionel Marchiș who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Halinga's Zeus Phoenix was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 16th minute of the match Berliste got a corner. Halinga's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nicolae Tudorică ran over to the corner to take the kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Denis Constantiniu got free with Șerban Ştercă in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Horia Leahu kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Șerban Ştercă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iurie Bucataru in the 22nd minute of play. After 25 played minutes Berliste got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Drăghincescu. In the 27th minute, Dan Burileanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 28 minutes, Stelian Cubleșan made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Halinga's Zeus Phoenix tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Stelian Cubleșan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Zeus Phoenix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute of the match, Iurie Bucataru tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Șerban Ştercă saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Zeus Phoenix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horia Leahu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicolae Tudorică kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Zeus Phoenix didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Berliste. Berliste's Șerban Ştercă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt-Arne Ahlroht in the 78th minute of play. 80 minutes into the game, Halinga's Denis Constantiniu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Șerban Ştercă made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. After 85 minutes, Iurie Bucataru made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side.
