Spectators: 7985 (Terracing: 5990, Seating: 1836, VIP seats: 159) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Iurie Bucataru took the kick off in the first half of the match. Pompiliu Cristocea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Ivan Ciuvică managed to get in a good position for a shot. AS Fulgerul Ploieşti's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivan Ciuvică was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeus Phoenix breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Halinga getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Dan Burileanu hit a great ball. Halinga's Zeus Phoenix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pompiliu Cristocea in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Shekwodiza Opeyemi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ivan Ciuvică fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeus Phoenix having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Nae Boteanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zeus Phoenix. Halinga's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nae Boteanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 20 minutes into the game, Nae Boteanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Zeus Phoenix was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, AS Fulgerul Ploieşti's Luca Halipa got control of the ball when Shekwodiza Opeyemi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zeus Phoenix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Ciuvică in the 26th minute of play. After some careless play in the Halinga defense, Ivan Ciuvică kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zeus Phoenix. The Halinga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zeus Phoenix should have stopped the shot. When Nae Boteanu came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the AS Fulgerul Ploieşti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nae Boteanu couldn't finish the play. Halinga's Zeus Phoenix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nae Boteanu in the 33rd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Nae Boteanu notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Halinga's Zeus Phoenix. Zeus Phoenix was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 40th minute of the match AS Fulgerul Ploieşti got a corner. Halinga's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pompiliu Cristocea ran over to the corner to take the kick. AS Fulgerul Ploieşti's Pompiliu Cristocea was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Zeus Phoenix in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpected shot in the 46th minute by Denis Constantiniu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 49th minute of the match AS Fulgerul Ploieşti got a corner. Halinga's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pompiliu Cristocea ran over to the corner to take the kick. After the first half AS Fulgerul Ploieşti were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nae Boteanu to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Halinga getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Matei Soare hit a great ball. In the 57th minute, Ivan Ciuvică got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nae Boteanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Zeus Phoenix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sandu Țâpu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 60 minutes into the match. Sandu Țâpu kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Iurie Bucataru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 67 minutes into the game, Eugen Alex was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AS Fulgerul Ploieşti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Halinga the free kick. Eugen Alex kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Zeus Phoenix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pompiliu Cristocea in the 70th minute of play. Ivan Ciuvică fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeus Phoenix having to interfere. 81 minutes into the game, Cristinel Vrânceanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AS Fulgerul Ploieşti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Halinga the free kick. The supporters of Halinga booed when AS Fulgerul Ploieşti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristinel Vrânceanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to AS Fulgerul Ploieşti getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Dragoş Iorga hit a great ball. Zeus Phoenix made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Victor Pacurar sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pompiliu Cristocea in the 87th minute of play forced Halinga's goalkeeper Zeus Phoenix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute, Ivan Ciuvică left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AS Fulgerul Ploieşti fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. When the final whistle sounded AS Fulgerul Ploieşti left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Halinga.
