During this time Rolling Balling's players had a chance to rest. 24 minutes into the match, Codruț Epure had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Enno Liebens. Borospatak SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Codruț Epure was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The Rolling Balling fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when Rolling Balling's Glen Lefler looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

After a defensive mix-up in Borospatak SC's zone, Anthony Walls stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enno Liebens came out of the goal and Anthony Walls tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dragoş Boieru in the 57th minute of play forced Rolling Balling's goalkeeper Dumitru Trifănucă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Codruț Epure charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Codruț Epure the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dumitru Trifănucă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dragoş Boieru in the 61st minute of play. Enno Liebens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Glen Lefler, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Pete Matlock hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Enno Liebens made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Rene Braun sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Glen Lefler got free with Enno Liebens in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
