Cornel Gorgan scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iustin Mineață, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cornel Gorgan took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iustin Mineață. Iustin Mineață dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 9th minute, Rik Sligter ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iustin Mineață was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Iustin Mineață made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maroš Rychtář in the 11th minute of play. After having played for 13 minutes, Maroš Rychtář managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maramures-MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Maroš Rychtář was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 14 played minutes Carandeni Piatra Neamt got a freekick which was hit by Teodor Bognar. 14 minutes into the game, Rik Sligter cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Iustin Mineață was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ciprian Tătăruşanu made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Nechifor Poplăcean sent off a good shot on target. After 20 played minutes Carandeni Piatra Neamt got a freekick which was hit by Dorin Ţopescu. Iustin Mineață took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rik Sligter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carandeni Piatra Neamt's Iustin Mineață played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornel Gorgan in the 23rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rik Sligter in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iustin Mineață saved Carandeni Piatra Neamt from getting behind. Iustin Mineață showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornel Gorgan in the 26th minute of the match. Dorin Ţopescu kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Carandeni Piatra Neamt's goal looked a bit too open when Rik Sligter came free, but Iustin Mineață reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Rik Sligter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Maramures-MM-'s Ciprian Tătăruşanu got control of the ball when Eric Spelbu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Cornel Gorgan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iustin Mineață was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Rik Sligter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Maramures-MM- made a substitution. Emil Zafiu replaced Luca Dominte. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 88th minute Cornel Gorgan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iustin Mineață saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Maramures-MM- left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Carandeni Piatra Neamt.
