But to his dismay, Zhang Yong Xiao quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Petruț Ticulescu to make the kick off. Cristi Miheș came out of the goal and Horaţiu Munteanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th minute, Rapid Dobroesti's Gigel Cantemir seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gigel Cantemir the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Rapid Dobroesti protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gigel Cantemir had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Rapid Dobroesti fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! The referee gave GoooooL a penalty, 93 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Engin Dönmez, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Rapid Dobroesti's David Rednic. 2-1. In the 97th minute, Coronel Canyelles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rapid Dobroesti walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
