The audience thought a goal was coming when Sorin Floreanu got free with Tibor Berkes in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Fc Gimmel Baia Mare-MM-'s zone, Jorge Bitxintxo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ovidiu Dincă came out of the goal and Jorge Bitxintxo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Bitxintxo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC. BRAILA-CHERCEA's Tibor Berkes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save FC. BRAILA-CHERCEA from getting a goal against them. Teodor Zegreanu took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ovidiu Dincă. Tibor Berkes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grigore Moșanu in the 63rd minute of play. FC. Through an outstanding action, after 85 minutes, Ovidiu Dincă successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. BRAILA-CHERCEA's goal looked a bit too open when Michal Lagiewniki came free, but Tibor Berkes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the FC. BRAILA-CHERCEA defense, Michal Lagiewniki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tibor Berkes. The FC. BRAILA-CHERCEA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tibor Berkes should have stopped the shot. The FC. BRAILA-CHERCEA supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC. BRAILA-CHERCEA would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
