After a rather tough play, FC Banat Steierdorf's Dan Drâmba got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 8th minute of the match Dan Scutaru sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arne Võsandi skillfully saved the ball. After 11 minutes of play, Gzpn Timisoara's Sabin Tatomir made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arne Võsandi was left in no man's land by his defense there! 13 minutes into the match, FC Banat Steierdorf's goal looked a bit too open when Sabin Tatomir came free, but Arne Võsandi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Iustinian Ciorobîtcă fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gzpn Timisoara's protests and gave Iustinian Ciorobîtcă a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC Banat Steierdorf booed when Gzpn Timisoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iustinian Ciorobîtcă didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute, Petrică Dragu made a precise shot to the right of Augustin Bălăiță. Gzpn Timisoara's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 22 minutes into the match, FC Banat Steierdorf's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Trişcu came free, but Arne Võsandi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augustin Bălăiță made an important save on a dangerous shot by Petrică Dragu in the 24th minute. Arne Võsandi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Trişcu in the 41st minute of play. Arne Võsandi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Trişcu in the 41st minute of the match. Ferdinand Floroiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Petrică Dragu got free with Augustin Bălăiță in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 46th minute Adrian Trişcu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Võsandi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Arne Võsandi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Sterescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Banat Steierdorf's Ferdinand Floroiu got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Petrică Dragu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Banat Steierdorf's supporters rose to their feet, but Petrică Dragu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augustin Bălăiță breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Sabin Tatomir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arne Võsandi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adrian Trişcu in the 63rd minute. FC Banat Steierdorf's Arne Võsandi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mavrudi Chapalov in the 65th minute of play. Valeriu Gavruță's late challenge caught a Gzpn Timisoara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valeriu Gavruță helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to FC Banat Steierdorf getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Valeriu Gavruță hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Petrică Dragu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Banat Steierdorf's supporters rose to their feet, but Petrică Dragu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gzpn Timisoara were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after FC Banat Steierdorf's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dan Scutaru took the corner. Petre Burdea was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 87th minute Adrian Trişcu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Võsandi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iustinian Ciorobîtcă kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Vintilă Busuioceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Daniel Sterescu came free with the goalkeeper in the 92nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Arne Võsandi could save by the left post. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Gzpn Timisoara players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
