The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Beržas Lideika took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihail Agârbiceanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 13 minutes, Boguslaw Furgat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rapid Bucharest's supporters crossed their fingers, but Boguslaw Furgat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Rapid Bucharest's Virgil Ţirpe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Toader Bran narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 19 minutes into the match, CRAIOVA JUNIOR's goalkeeper Toader Bran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gelu Ioniță. Beržas Lideika showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sever Logofătu, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Mehran Utandıbalayev struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Toader Bran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rapid Bucharest. Beržas Lideika showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucrețiu Bobei in the 39th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, CRAIOVA JUNIOR's goal looked a bit too open when Boguslaw Furgat came free, but Toader Bran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gelu Ioniță kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Pavel Popeneciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucrețiu Bobei stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Sever Logofătu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beržas Lideika saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of CRAIOVA JUNIOR booed when Rapid Bucharest was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Baciu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in CRAIOVA JUNIOR fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! Virgil Ţirpe shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. The crowd rose to their feet as CRAIOVA JUNIOR's Sever Pâslaru slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Beržas Lideika. That made the score 0-3 after 77 minutes of play. After having played for 84 minutes, Pavel Popeneciu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CRAIOVA JUNIOR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pavel Popeneciu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rapid Bucharest's Beržas Lideika played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucrețiu Bobei in the 86th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Boguslaw Furgat made a precise shot to the right of Toader Bran. CRAIOVA JUNIOR's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. In the 91st minute, Boguslaw Furgat ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Toader Bran was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. The supporters of Rapid Bucharest booed when CRAIOVA JUNIOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihail Agârbiceanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. CRAIOVA JUNIOR played a much better game than Rapid Bucharest and deserved their victory. The Rapid Bucharest players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
