Spectators: 7537 (Terracing: 6027, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 10) Rapid Bucharest's Boguslaw Furgat started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Iosif Chitoran kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. The Rapid Bucharest fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Rapid Bucharest's Boguslaw Furgat looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ivan Hrandabur came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Rapid Bucharest's Mehran Utandıbalayev. But to his dismay, Mehran Utandıbalayev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Gelu Ioniță sped through Barbucea's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ivan Hrandabur. A collision led to Barbucea getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Emil Zub hit a great ball. 17 minutes into the match, Rapid Bucharest's Gelu Ioniță sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ivan Hrandabur narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emil Zub charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emil Zub the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Barbucea getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Emil Zub hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the match, Gelu Ioniță notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Barbucea's Ivan Hrandabur. Ivan Hrandabur was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 27th minute, Mehran Utandıbalayev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rapid Bucharest were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Barbucea's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Virgil Ţirpe took the corner. Virgil Ţirpe made a great header on Rapid Bucharest's corner, it was just that Barbucea's Ivan Hrandabur managed to reach the ball for a save. Ivan Hrandabur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gelu Ioniță, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Virgil Ţirpe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rapid Bucharest's supporters rose to their feet, but Virgil Ţirpe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Hrandabur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ivan Hrandabur didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mehran Utandıbalayev went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. Gelu Ioniță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ivan Hrandabur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Emil Zub made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Virgil Ţirpe got free with Ivan Hrandabur in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 67 minutes into the match, Rapid Bucharest's Gelu Ioniță sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ivan Hrandabur narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner ended in Virgil Ţirpe almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Barbucea's Ivan Hrandabur did a great save. In the 70th minute when Alex Baciu was dribbling his way through Barbucea's defense he got a clear chance for a shot, but the shot went just outside the left post. Virgil Ţirpe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Ivan Hrandabur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivan Hrandabur came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Rapid Bucharest's Gelu Ioniță. But to his dismay, Gelu Ioniță quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-10. Gelu Ioniță sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute of the match, Gelu Ioniță got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ivan Hrandabur was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 86th minute of the match Rapid Bucharest got a corner. Barbucea's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Virgil Ţirpe ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Rapid Bucharest's Gelu Ioniță in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barbucea's goalie prevented a goal. After 89 minutes, Gelu Ioniță made it 0-11 with a short kick to the right side. Barbucea's Ivan Hrandabur tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Mehran Utandıbalayev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gelu Ioniță took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ivan Hrandabur. Ivan Hrandabur dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-12. Rapid Bucharest played a much better game than Barbucea and deserved their victory. The Barbucea players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
