The referee ignored FC BARCELONA VLP's protests and gave Alvar Nuut a yellow card for diving instead. Alvar Nuut hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Basarab Răduț took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Vlas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the game, Albert Colceriu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The supporters of FC ciufulici booed when FC BARCELONA VLP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Colceriu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If George Giurcă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC BARCELONA VLP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgar Comarnescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After a rather tough play, FC BARCELONA VLP's Remus Rada got a free kick in the 36th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC ciufulici's zone, Albert Colceriu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marius Rusu came out of the goal and Albert Colceriu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, FC BARCELONA VLP's Albert Colceriu got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Basarab Răduț showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dacian Jecu in the 44th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alvar Nuut stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. FC ciufulici's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
