After 2 played minutes Tineretul Arad got a freekick which was hit by Denis Talianu. Cosimo Deva's Hugo Juhás proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Cosimo Deva from getting a goal against them. Andrei Pușcașu charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andrei Pușcașu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th minute, Andrei Pușcașu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leontin Vârșan came free with the goalkeeper in the 10th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hugo Juhás could save by the left post. Panait Hațegan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrei Pușcașu in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute of the match Cosimo Deva got a corner. Tineretul Arad's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Isac Arghirescu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Denis Mănescu kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Cosimo Deva's goalkeeper Hugo Juhás had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leontin Vârșan. 20 minutes into the match, Tineretul Arad's goal looked a bit too open when Andrei Pușcașu came free, but Panait Hațegan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leontin Vârșan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Hugo Juhás made a huge save. Cosimo Deva's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Emilian Blăniță scored to the left of an out of position Hugo Juhás, making the score, 1-0. 25 minutes into the game, Andrei Pușcașu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Panait Hațegan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cosimo Deva's Sorin Nacu managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Felix Negrescu in the 32 minute of the game. Hugo Juhás showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilian Blăniță in the 34th minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Andrei Pușcașu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cosimo Deva fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the last second Hugo Juhás throw himself and got hold of the ball when Emilian Blăniță in the 40thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The audience was convinced that Emilian Blăniță's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hugo Juhás was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Tineretul Arad's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gerson Guimarães in the 41st minute. Panait Hațegan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristinel Bujor in the 46th minute of play. The Tineretul Arad players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cosimo Deva were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leontin Vârșan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daniel Anton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Hugo Juhás tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Tineretul Arad's zone, Andrei Pușcașu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Panait Hațegan came out of the goal and Andrei Pușcașu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andrei Pușcașu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Panait Hațegan having to interfere. Isac Arghirescu kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Cristinel Bujor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hugo Juhás made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leontin Vârșan in the 71st minute of play. If Andrei Pușcașu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the match, Cosimo Deva's goal looked a bit too open when Leontin Vârșan came free, but Hugo Juhás reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hugo Juhás showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leontin Vârșan, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. With a little luck, Tineretul Arad's Panait Hațegan got control of the ball when Andrei Pușcașu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Andrei Pușcașu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Panait Hațegan made a huge save. When Sorin Nacu fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cosimo Deva's protests and gave Sorin Nacu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Tineretul Arad booed when Cosimo Deva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sorin Nacu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dorin Pantilimon hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The Cosimo Deva supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cosimo Deva would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
