FC Mihaesti's Bogdan Hurdubețiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Buzoianu in the 11th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Mihaesti's zone, Pavel Dordea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bogdan Hurdubețiu came out of the goal and Pavel Dordea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th minute, Gabriel Gănescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Mihaesti fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When Mário Arce came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the FC Mihaesti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mário Arce couldn't finish the play. In the 20th match minute, FC Mihaesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Gănescu to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute, Gabriel Gănescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pavel Dordea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Bogdan Hurdubețiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When George Buzoianu came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the F.C. Baia Mare -MM- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that George Buzoianu couldn't finish the play. George Buzoianu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling George Buzoianu in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bogdan Hurdubețiu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 33 minutes into the match, FC Mihaesti's goal looked a bit too open when Iosif Gurlui came free, but Bogdan Hurdubețiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s Octavian Podgoreanu got a free kick in the 35th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers George Buzoianu in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bogdan Hurdubețiu saved FC Mihaesti from getting behind. George Buzoianu, 44 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If George Buzoianu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 48 minutes into the match, FC Mihaesti's goal looked a bit too open when George Buzoianu came free, but Bogdan Hurdubețiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell George Buzoianu to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in FC Mihaesti's zone, George Buzoianu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bogdan Hurdubețiu came out of the goal and George Buzoianu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. George Buzoianu came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bogdan Hurdubețiu could save by the left post. In the 54th minute of the match, George Buzoianu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bogdan Hurdubețiu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 55 minutes FC Mihaesti's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was George Buzoianu who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in George Buzoianu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Mihaesti's Bogdan Hurdubețiu did a great save. After 62 played minutes FC Mihaesti got a freekick which was hit by Mário Arce. Petrică Dobrea charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Petrică Dobrea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 67th minute, Petrică Dobrea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 75 minutes into the match, George Buzoianu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of FC Mihaesti's Bogdan Hurdubețiu. Bogdan Hurdubețiu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to FC Mihaesti getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Laurențiu Petruescu hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute, George Buzoianu made a precise shot to the right of Bogdan Hurdubețiu. FC Mihaesti's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Petrică Dobrea made in the 86th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Mário Arce however managed to control. In the 88th minute, Adam Tatulici hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
