After 2 minutes, Gigel Urmaticu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UFC Sarlotenburg and the Cimpina AS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 2nd minute, one of UFC Sarlotenburg:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for UFC Sarlotenburg. In the 3rd minute there was a penalty for Cimpina AS. Ettore Milanese stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ernest Drogoreanu. 0-1. Esteve Vidal was a little too slow when Alin Baniu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-1. The referee felt a red card was in order, 11 minutes into the game, when Emilian Vintilescu put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cimpina AS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! In the 12th minute there was a penalty for UFC Sarlotenburg. Robin Malmgren stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Esteve Vidal. 2-1. A collision led to Cimpina AS getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Ettore Milanese hit a great ball. Esteve Vidal was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Gheorghe Arsenescu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gheorghe Arsenescu really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. When Cimpina AS's Teodor Gheorghiță in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UFC Sarlotenburg's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of UFC Sarlotenburg booed when Cimpina AS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Ioannou didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esteve Vidal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucian Zafiu in the 35th minute. In the 39th match minute, Cimpina AS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cãlin Furdui to maneuver through the defense. UFC Sarlotenburg's Gheorghe Arsenescu got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th minute, UFC Sarlotenburg's Alin Baniu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-1.

In the 57th match minute, Cimpina AS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cãlin Furdui to maneuver through the defense. Gheorghe Arsenescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the match, Lucian Zafiu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Esteve Vidal. Cimpina AS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucian Zafiu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Alin Baniu kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Ernest Drogoreanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodor Gheorghiță in the 70th minute of play. After 81 played minutes UFC Sarlotenburg got a freekick which was hit by Maxim Magheran. Ernest Drogoreanu came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Cimpina AS's Ettore Milanese. But to his dismay, Ettore Milanese quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. Teodor Gheorghiță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ernest Drogoreanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to UFC Sarlotenburg getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Lucian Zafiu hit a great ball. In the 95th minute, Teodor Gheorghiță fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ernest Drogoreanu, passed just outside the right post. Cimpina AS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
