The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. FC Mihaesti's defense didn't have a chance, in the 2nd minute, when George Buzoianu scored to the left of an out of position Aristide Constantiniu, making the score, 1-0. A collision led to FC Mihaesti getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Mário Arce hit a great ball. George Buzoianu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 10 minutes into the match, Mário Arce notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s Zsigmond Pál. Zsigmond Pál was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aristide Constantiniu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iosif Gurlui, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. With his leg Aristide Constantiniu managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s George Buzoianu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 13 minutes into the game, George Buzoianu lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Aristide Constantiniu. Zsigmond Pál took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Curuțiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Cristian Curuțiu fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Mihaesti's protests and gave Cristian Curuțiu a yellow card for diving instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for George Buzoianu to strike the kick off in the second half. Iosif Gurlui scored 4-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aristide Constantiniu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zsigmond Pál took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Gănescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aristide Constantiniu came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s Iosif Gurlui. But to his dismay, Iosif Gurlui quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. In the 63rd minute Gabriel Gănescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zsigmond Pál saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. George Buzoianu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Aristide Constantiniu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Mihaesti's Aristide Constantiniu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Buzoianu in the 69th minute of play. Zsigmond Pál showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Curuțiu in the 71st minute of the match. F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s Zsigmond Pál proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save F.C. Baia Mare -MM- from getting a goal against them. George Buzoianu took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aristide Constantiniu. Aristide Constantiniu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. George Buzoianu might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aristide Constantiniu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. George Buzoianu ran back to his position shaking his head. Baia Mare -MM-'s Nicodim Sasu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Petrică Dobrea, made in the 84th minute of the game. After 85 played minutes F.C. Baia Mare -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Nicodim Sasu. Aristide Constantiniu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iosif Gurlui in the 87th minute of the match. In the 91st match minute, F.C. Baia Mare -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anton Baicea to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to F.C. Baia Mare -MM- getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Vlad Enătescu hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. F.C. Baia Mare -MM- had won after a very even match.
