CF Padureni were furious when Narcis Sârbu was red carded, 48 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 51st minute there was a penalty for Scornicesti. Dumitru Gheordunescu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sever Erbașu. 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vasile Acalinei to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasile Acalinei in the 59th minute of play forced CF Padureni's goalkeeper Sever Erbașu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee showed Narcis Baniu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 88th minute, Narcis Baniu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felix Eremia hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 94 minutes into the match, CF Padureni's Mihăiţă Savu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristian Moisil narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 99 minutes into the game, Felix Eremia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Scornicesti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CF Padureni the free kick. In the 100th match minute, Scornicesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Eremia to maneuver through the defense. CF Padureni walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
