In the 11th minute Luca Ianculescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sever Erbașu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Glenn Burrell might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paul Pintea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Glenn Burrell ran back to his position shaking his head. CF Padureni's Sever Erbașu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Ianculescu in the 20th minute of play. If Glenn Burrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paul Pintea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrei Rebengiuc, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. A collision led to FC Universitatea Craiova getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Mihai Zgondea hit a great ball. Glenn Burrell, 32 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Paul Pintea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Glenn Burrell, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Crăciunaș in the 38th minute of play forced FC Universitatea Craiova's goalkeeper Paul Pintea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Universitatea Craiova's Adrian Ailenei suffered a sore thigh after 38 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The supporters of FC Universitatea Craiova booed when CF Padureni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nistor Isaia didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, CF Padureni's Sever Erbașu got control of the ball when Damian Pânzariu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 48th minute, Luca Ianculescu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sever Erbașu. The goal made the score 1-0. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luca Ianculescu to strike the kick off in the second half. After 65 minutes FC Universitatea Craiova's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Glenn Burrell who took care of the corner kick. The corner led CF Padureni's Glenn Burrell to fire away a dangerous shot which Paul Pintea despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Sever Erbașu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Pânzariu in the 68th minute of play. CF Padureni's Sever Erbașu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remus Vulcănescu in the 69th minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Nicu Vulpăşin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Universitatea Craiova's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CF Padureni the free kick. FC Universitatea Craiova's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Glenn Burrell scored to the left of an out of position Paul Pintea, making the score, 1-1. With a little luck, FC Universitatea Craiova's Paul Pintea got control of the ball when Glenn Burrell tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vintilă Mareș received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Paul Pintea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sever Erbașu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Ianculescu in the 85th minute of the match. In the 90th minute of the match FC Universitatea Craiova got a corner. CF Padureni's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Damian Pânzariu ran over to the corner to take the kick. FC Universitatea Craiova's Damian Pânzariu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sever Erbașu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Glenn Burrell came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the CF Padureni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Glenn Burrell couldn't finish the play. 93 minutes into the match, FC Universitatea Craiova's goal looked a bit too open when Glenn Burrell came free, but Paul Pintea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sever Erbașu came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Universitatea Craiova's Luca Ianculescu. But to his dismay, Luca Ianculescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Vintilă Mareș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Pintea having to interfere.
