Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mugur Robescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vasile Acalinei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Scornicesti's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Stein-Roger Hofseth 12 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. If Felix Eremia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vasile Acalinei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vasile Acalinei charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vasile Acalinei the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vasile Acalinei hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Denis Dănălache managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Falciu's supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Dănălache was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristian Moisil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Falciu's Mugur Robescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Eremia in the 26th minute of play. Scornicesti's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Stein-Roger Hofseth scored to the left of an out of position Cristian Moisil, making the score, 2-0. Mugur Robescu came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Scornicesti's Felix Eremia. But to his dismay, Felix Eremia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Scornicesti's Cristian Moisil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stein-Roger Hofseth in the 44th minute of play. After 48 minutes FC Falciu's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dumitru Gheordunescu who took care of the corner kick. 50 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Falciu's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dumitru Gheordunescu was slow to take the kick. During this time Scornicesti's players had a chance to rest. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

After a rather tough play, Scornicesti's Sandu Uncu got a free kick in the 63rd minute. A collision led to Scornicesti getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Anton Ciungu hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stein-Roger Hofseth in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristian Moisil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 73 played minutes Scornicesti got a freekick which was hit by Felix Eremia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stein-Roger Hofseth in the 77th minute of play forced Scornicesti's goalkeeper Cristian Moisil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mugur Robescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vasile Acalinei in the 78th minute of play. The long shot by Dumitru Gheordunescu in the 80th minute really tested Mugur Robescu's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 88 minutes into the match, Stein-Roger Hofseth notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Scornicesti's Cristian Moisil. Cristian Moisil was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Stein-Roger Hofseth's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristian Moisil was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. If Vasile Acalinei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee ended the match the FC Falciu players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
