Ştefan Oroveanu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Damian Pânzariu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ştefan Oroveanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Ianculescu in the 40th minute of play forced Barsa AFC's goalkeeper Ştefan Oroveanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute FC Universitatea Craiova were awarded a corner. Adrian Ailenei went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Adrian Ailenei got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ştefan Oroveanu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 46 minutes into the match, Barsa AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Ianculescu came free, but Ştefan Oroveanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 48th minute, Nicu Banu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Universitatea Craiova made a substitution. Remus Vulcănescu replaced Emanuel Dumitrachescu. After a rather tough play, Barsa AFC's Nicu Banu got a free kick in the 50th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nicu Banu to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Barsa AFC's zone, Gheorghe Bejenaru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ştefan Oroveanu came out of the goal and Gheorghe Bejenaru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Barsa AFC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Cristinel Dobrea hit a great ball. In the 60th minute of the match Adrian Ailenei shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ştefan Oroveanu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Ianculescu in the 64th minute of play forced Barsa AFC's goalkeeper Ştefan Oroveanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute, Adrian Ailenei made a precise shot to the right of Ştefan Oroveanu. Barsa AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. After a rather tough play, Barsa AFC's Gheorghe Erbașu got a free kick in the 68th minute. Adrian Ailenei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ştefan Oroveanu having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Mihail Blaga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee ended the match the FC Universitatea Craiova players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
