MINERUL BALAN:s Jan Popowicz showed great skill when he stopped Mihai Lucrețiu:s penalty. 17 minutes into the match, Emilian Apolzan notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca's Nistor Isăilă. Nistor Isăilă was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Liviu Baștină's late challenge caught a Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Liviu Baștină helped the player get up and apologised. MINERUL BALAN's Jan Popowicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristinel Iurea in the 23rd minute of play. Liviu Baștină received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nistor Isăilă came out and tried to block the shot, but Liviu Baștină slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 32nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as MINERUL BALAN's Emilian Apolzan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nistor Isăilă. That made the score 4-0 after 36 minutes of play. Jan Popowicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolae Enoiu in the 46th minute of play. 46 minutes into the game, Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca's Nicolae Enoiu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jan Popowicz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Nae Beniuc made the kick off in the second half. Emilian Apolzan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 54 minutes, Emilian Apolzan made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca's Nistor Isăilă tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Emilian Apolzan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Flavius Burdujan kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 6-1 when Emilian Apolzan sped through Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nistor Isăilă. Tudor Chiose fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nistor Isăilă having to interfere. When MINERUL BALAN's Emilian Apolzan in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Tudor Chiose managed to get in a good position for a shot. MINERUL BALAN's supporters rose to their feet, but Tudor Chiose was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nistor Isăilă breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nistor Isăilă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilian Apolzan in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Emilian Apolzan made a precise shot to the right of Nistor Isăilă. Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1. In the 79thth minute of the game Emilian Apolzan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca's Nistor Isăilă was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca's goal looked a bit too open when Emilian Apolzan came free, but Nistor Isăilă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Tudor Chiose notched a goal, 8-1, to the right of Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca's Nistor Isăilă. Nistor Isăilă was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 95 minutes into the match, Tudor Chiose notched a goal, 10-1, to the right of Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca's Nistor Isăilă. Nistor Isăilă was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. MINERUL BALAN's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
