Niculae Măgureanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Leontin Hâldan sped through FC Carlsberg's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ciprian Tunaru. In the 13th minute, Leontin Hâldan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ciprian Tunaru was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 16 minutes into the match, FC Carlsberg's goal looked a bit too open when Leontin Hâldan came free, but Ciprian Tunaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicodim Ciorogaru charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicodim Ciorogaru the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th minute of the match Luca Rădvan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ciprian Tunaru showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 25thth minute of the game Leontin Hâldan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Carlsberg's Ciprian Tunaru was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 26 minutes into the match, FC Carlsberg's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelian Iosif came free, but Ciprian Tunaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leontin Tarcea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, FC Carlsberg's Iacob Iliuță got a free kick in the 30th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leontin Hâldan in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ciprian Tunaru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ciprian Tunaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leontin Hâldan in the 36th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leontin Hâldan in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ciprian Tunaru saved FC Carlsberg from getting behind. In the 41st minute Leontin Hâldan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciprian Tunaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Toader Apăvăloaie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leontin Hâldan made a kick off. Horia Gârniceanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ovidiu Bojin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Horia Gârniceanu ran back to his position shaking his head. 64 minutes into the match, Leontin Hâldan notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of FC Carlsberg's Ciprian Tunaru. Ciprian Tunaru was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 69 played minutes FC Carlsberg got a freekick which was hit by Iacob Iliuță. Leontin Tarcea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Ovidiu Bojin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leontin Hâldan in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ciprian Tunaru, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ciprian Tunaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leontin Hâldan, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After some careless play in the FC Carlsberg defense, Leontin Hâldan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ciprian Tunaru. The FC Carlsberg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ciprian Tunaru should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, FC Carlsberg's Radu Zdrobău got a free kick in the 88th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Champions Iasi's Leontin Hâldan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ciprian Tunaru narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With his leg Ciprian Tunaru managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when Champions Iasi's Leontin Hâldan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Iacob Iliuță fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidiu Bojin having to interfere. Champions Iasi played a much better game than FC Carlsberg and deserved their victory. The FC Carlsberg players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
