The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alexandria Team08's Albano Sergi quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gaudencio Elivareo, made in the 4th minute of the game. Zhou might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Calistrat Bordeianu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zhou ran back to his position shaking his head. If Zhou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute of the game Gaudencio Elivareo made a throw-in which Emilio Eguzki played forward. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Carp Team's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kılıç Özyuva was slow to take the kick. During this time Alexandria Team08's players had a chance to rest. Zhou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Panait Frânculescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neil Tutorskiy, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Carp Team were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Alexandria Team08's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Radomir Šiljak took the corner. After taking down the ball on Carp Team's corner Radomir Šiljak fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Panait Frânculescu quite easily take care of the ball. When Carp Team's Matei Cârstea in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 43 played minutes Carp Team got a freekick which was hit by Gaudencio Elivareo. 46 minutes into the match, Zhou dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Calistrat Bordeianu, 1-0. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matei Cârstea to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Matei Cârstea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Matei Cârstea came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Carp Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matei Cârstea couldn't finish the play. Panait Frânculescu made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Emilio Eguzki sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Carp Team's zone, Zhou stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Calistrat Bordeianu came out of the goal and Zhou tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexandria Team08's Faustão Abraão was substituted for Maxim Constantinescu. Zsolt Major made in the 71st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Alexandria Team08's Albano Sergi. Panait Frânculescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neil Tutorskiy in the 75th minute of play. Gustaf Svanér hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Radomir Šiljak from long distance, 78 minutes into the match, got Panait Frânculescu's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emilio Eguzki got free with Panait Frânculescu in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neil Tutorskiy in the 92nd minute of play forced Alexandria Team08's goalkeeper Panait Frânculescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matei Cârstea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alexandria Team08's Panait Frânculescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Alexandria Team08 from getting a goal against them.
