Purcaresti CSS's Nistor Anton got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Panait Frânculescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pavel Mazăre, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Alexandria Team08's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Radu Barna in the 16th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Basarab Panciu heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pavel Mazăre in the 23rd minute of play forced Alexandria Team08's goalkeeper Panait Frânculescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Maxim Constantinescu threw the ball into play from the sideline. Purcaresti CSS's Gică Zbârcea quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 28 minutes into the match, Alexandria Team08's goal looked a bit too open when Iustin Radovan came free, but Panait Frânculescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Panait Frânculescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iustin Radovan in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 37th minute of the match Alexandria Team08 got a corner. Purcaresti CSS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Radu Barna ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Radu Barna almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Purcaresti CSS's Cătălin Trică did a great save. Cătălin Trică didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Faustão Abraão went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After the first half Alexandria Team08 were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zhou made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Alexandria Team08's Teodor Spineanu got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Péter Bánhegyi's late challenge caught a Purcaresti CSS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Péter Bánhegyi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Purcaresti CSS's goalkeeper Cătălin Trică, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 63 minutes into the game, Zhou recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cătălin Trică. Zhou showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. After 69 played minutes Purcaresti CSS got a freekick which was hit by Gică Zbârcea. Purcaresti CSS's Ioan Bornescu was substituted for Gabriel Măliță. The supporters of Alexandria Team08 booed when Purcaresti CSS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gică Zbârcea didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Purcaresti CSS's Cătălin Trică got control of the ball when Zhou tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 79 played minutes Zhou rounded Purcaresti CSS's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-4. After 82 played minutes Alexandria Team08 got a freekick which was hit by Zhou. Panait Frânculescu came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Purcaresti CSS's Pavel Mazăre. But to his dismay, Pavel Mazăre quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. After 86 played minutes Purcaresti CSS got a freekick which was hit by Ferdinand Arghiroiu. If Ferdinand Arghiroiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zhou blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cătălin Trică having to make a save. With a little luck, Purcaresti CSS's Cătălin Trică got control of the ball when Zhou tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Purcaresti CSS supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Alexandria Team08's performance. The match ended with a win for Alexandria Team08.
