That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. Tornadele Siret's Ricardinho Lopes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horaţiu Lupșe in the 12th minute of play. Cosmin Florea struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Ricardinho Lopes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olympique de Marseille. Tornadele Siret's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Adrian Mutu in the 19th minute. After taking down the ball on Tornadele Siret's corner Adrian Mutu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bogdan Crivoi quite easily take care of the ball. After 23rd play minutes Aquilino Ponte shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Bogdan Crivoi and just under the crossbar into goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ali Emir Işıklar in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bogdan Crivoi saved Olympique de Marseille from getting behind. Horaţiu Lupșe who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Ricardinho Lopes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 31st minute Ali Emir Işıklar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Crivoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Olympique de Marseille's Mihail Nestor got a free kick in the 31st minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aquilino Ponte was the one to do the kick off. Emil Nicoliță hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Bogdan Crivoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Emir Işıklar in the 53rd minute of play. Bogdan Crivoi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aquilino Ponte's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Ali Emir Işıklar's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Bogdan Crivoi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Rúben Prestes came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Tornadele Siret fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rúben Prestes couldn't finish the play. 60 minutes into the match, Olympique de Marseille's goal looked a bit too open when Rúben Prestes came free, but Bogdan Crivoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cosmin Florea scored 2-1 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardinho Lopes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ricardinho Lopes came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Olympique de Marseille's Cosmin Florea. But to his dismay, Cosmin Florea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Bogdan Crivoi made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Aquilino Ponte sent off a good shot on target. Bogdan Crivoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquilino Ponte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes into the match, Olympique de Marseille's goalkeeper Bogdan Crivoi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ali Emir Işıklar. After a rather tough play, Olympique de Marseille's Pavel Ponta got a free kick in the 93rd minute. When Aquilino Ponte came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Tornadele Siret fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aquilino Ponte couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Olympique de Marseille fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tornadele Siret had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
