After 34 played minutes FC Viitorul Buzau got a freekick which was hit by Nechifor Blajovici. The crowd rose to their feet as Ivan Moșanu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tiberiu Siniştean. That made the score 0-1 in the 63 minute of play. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Viitorul Buzau's goalkeeper Tiberiu Siniştean, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After a rather tough play, FC Viitorul Buzau's Emilian Ciolpan got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 93rd minute, Frank Melis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Viitorul Buzau's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Eusebiu Tuleiu scored to the left of an out of position Tiberiu Siniştean, making the score, 1-2. The FC Inter Sibiu supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Inter Sibiu would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
