Iwo Tamulewicz scored 0-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nichifor Nicolae, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The throw-in from Xamo Zubiaur in the 29th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Dacians Academy's Siluna Flores. Emerald's supporters rose to their feet, but Julio Iglesias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stelian Butuc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nichifor Nicolae showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iwo Tamulewicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Iwo Tamulewicz might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nichifor Nicolae. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iwo Tamulewicz ran back to his position shaking his head. 41 minutes into the match, Emerald's goal looked a bit too open when Iwo Tamulewicz came free, but Nichifor Nicolae reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Emerald made a substitution. Ioan Logofătu replaced Julio Iglesias. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victor Piţurcă made a kick off. Stelian Butuc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Carioca, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Nichifor Nicolae made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iwo Tamulewicz in the 55th minute of play. In the 56thth minute of the game Iwo Tamulewicz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Emerald's Nichifor Nicolae was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Emerald's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fermin Prejun was slow to take the kick. During this time Dacians Academy's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Dacians Academy's corner Fermin Prejun fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nichifor Nicolae quite easily take care of the ball. Nichifor Nicolae took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iwo Tamulewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emerald's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fermin Prejun ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Dacians Academy's Manole Anghel to fire away a dangerous shot which Nichifor Nicolae despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Emerald booed when Dacians Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remus Armeanca didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute, Victor Piţurcă got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Dacians Academy supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Dacians Academy would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
