Panait Oprea started the match with the kick off. Ionel Găvănescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabio Abalos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ionel Găvănescu ran back to his position shaking his head. Fabio Abalos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionel Găvănescu in the 6th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Emerald's goal looked a bit too open when Costică Donose came free, but Nichifor Nicolae reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 8 minutes of play, ionion's Costică Donose made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nichifor Nicolae was left in no man's land by his defense there! 朱风俊 charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed 朱风俊 the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. ionion made a substitution. Eugen Albeanu replaced Panait Oprea. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Emerald! In the 15th minute of the match ionion got a corner. Emerald's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Grigore Pădure ran over to the corner to take the kick. ionion's Costică Donose was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nichifor Nicolae in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 18 minutes into the match, ionion's Ilie Surugiu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nichifor Nicolae narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nichifor Nicolae made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zikoranachidimma Bischhoffshausen in the 20th minute of play. In the 22ndth minute of the game Eugen Albeanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Emerald's Nichifor Nicolae was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Niculae Moisescu kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionel Găvănescu in the 25th minute of play forced ionion's goalkeeper Fabio Abalos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute Zikoranachidimma Bischhoffshausen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nichifor Nicolae saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, ionion's Fabio Abalos got control of the ball when Ionel Găvănescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. ionion's Eugen Albeanu got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ionel Găvănescu got free with Fabio Abalos in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nichifor Nicolae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugen Albeanu in the 37th minute of the match. Fabio Abalos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionel Găvănescu in the 38th minute of play. If Ionel Găvănescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind ionion's goalkeeper Fabio Abalos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fabio Abalos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionel Găvănescu in the 46th minute of play. Eugen Albeanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nichifor Nicolae having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gabriel Vermeşan was the one to do the kick off. Fabio Abalos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pompiliu Uncheşelu in the 52nd minute of the match. Fabio Abalos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pompiliu Uncheşelu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute, Grigore Pădure got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the ionion defense, Gabriel Vermeşan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabio Abalos. The ionion fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabio Abalos should have stopped the shot. A collision led to ionion getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Zikoranachidimma Bischhoffshausen hit a great ball. Fabio Abalos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pompiliu Uncheşelu, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Costică Donose blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nichifor Nicolae having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costică Donose in the 74th minute of play forced Emerald's goalkeeper Nichifor Nicolae to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Gabriel Vermeşan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabio Abalos. ionion's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabriel Vermeşan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 88th match minute, ionion was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grigore Pădure to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Emerald booed when ionion was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugen Albeanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. ionion's Fabio Abalos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionel Găvănescu in the 96th minute of play. Emerald's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
