The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to FC Politehnica Timisoara getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Vintilă Bălășescu hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mugur Cenușă in the 6th minute of play forced FC Politehnica Timisoara's goalkeeper Isac Hojbota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute, Mădălin Cangeopol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isac Hojbota was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Wesley Sneijder kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Mădălin Cangeopol got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Isac Hojbota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mădălin Cangeopol in the 15th minute of play. Laurențiu Gaciu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernest Manea in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Vali Maghiar came free, but Laurențiu Gaciu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Fan Wen Nan threw the ball into play from the sideline. Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Heintje Gamarra quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Laurențiu Gaciu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernest Manea, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. A collision led to Tractorul Satulung -MM- getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Ovidiu Șişman hit a great ball. Laurențiu Gaciu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vali Maghiar in the 30th minute of play. Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s attentive Heintje Gamarra managed to snatch the ball when Fan Wen Nan made a throw-in in the 32nd minute of the game. Mădălin Cangeopol blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Isac Hojbota having to make a save. Mădălin Cangeopol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Isac Hojbota made a huge save. Isac Hojbota came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Mădălin Cangeopol. But to his dismay, Mădălin Cangeopol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. FC Politehnica Timisoara's Isac Hojbota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mădălin Cangeopol in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Laurențiu Gaciu made a fantastic save in the 50th minute, when Olimpiu Rizea sent off a good shot on target. Vintilă Bălășescu kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Politehnica Timisoara's zone, Mugur Cenușă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isac Hojbota came out of the goal and Mugur Cenușă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Isac Hojbota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mădălin Cangeopol in the 59th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the game, Ernest Manea recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Laurențiu Gaciu. Ernest Manea showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Olimpiu Rizea came free with the goalkeeper in the 65th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Laurențiu Gaciu could save by the left post. Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Laurențiu Gaciu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Tractorul Satulung -MM- from getting a goal against them. In the 68th minute, FC Politehnica Timisoara's Olimpiu Rizea ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Laurențiu Gaciu. Laurențiu Gaciu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. FC Politehnica Timisoara's Yosua Helguera was substituted for Håvard Bjørke. 74 minutes into the match, Olimpiu Rizea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Laurențiu Gaciu. Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olimpiu Rizea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Vali Maghiar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Laurențiu Gaciu made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mădălin Cangeopol in the 84th minute of play forced FC Politehnica Timisoara's goalkeeper Isac Hojbota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isac Hojbota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mădălin Cangeopol, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Laurențiu Gaciu made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Vali Maghiar sent off a good shot on target. Laurențiu Gaciu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olimpiu Rizea in the 89th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martin Crușeveanu got free with Laurențiu Gaciu in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 94th match minute, FC Politehnica Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alin Moșanu to maneuver through the defense.
