Spectators: 8405 (Terracing: 6304, Seating: 1933, VIP seats: 168) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Panait Agachi got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the match, MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Victor Lucila sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicolae Marghescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Victor Lucila's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicolae Marghescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Victor Lucila made a precise shot to the right of Nicolae Marghescu. FC Vaslui's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. FC Vaslui's Nicolae Marghescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Lucila in the 15th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, FC Vaslui's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Lucila came free, but Nicolae Marghescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to FC Vaslui getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Petruț Cozac hit a great ball. Victor Lucila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Mihăiţă Moisil hit a great ball. Panait Agachi came free with the goalkeeper in the 44th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dinu Oardă could save by the left post. Victor Lucila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolae Marghescu having to interfere. After the first half MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victor Lucila to make the kick off. Victor Lucila could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Nicolae Marghescu made a huge save. Nicolae Marghescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Lucila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victor Lucila's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicolae Marghescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Vlad Murgoci kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Ernest Oprescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicolae Marghescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Nicolae Marghescu made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Victor Lucila sent off a good shot on target. Liviu Frumușanu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 74th minute. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After having played for 79 minutes, Ernest Oprescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernest Oprescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nicolae Marghescu came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Victor Lucila. But to his dismay, Victor Lucila quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The FC Vaslui fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
