The audience thought a goal was coming when Lawrence Blewett got free with Nicolae Marghescu in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 64 minutes into the match, FC Vaslui's Michiel Vleminx sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iordache Zăhărescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The shot was a little too simple and Nicolae Marghescu could save by the left post. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. F.C.IZVOARELE DY-DA -BTF walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
