The audience was convinced that Avram Râznicu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isac Hojbota was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Constantin Mudura was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Constantin Mudura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Crușeveanu in the 33rd minute of the match. If Yosua Helguera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ernest Manea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernest Manea struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Constantin Mudura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Politehnica Timisoara. FC Vaslui's Franciszek Lerych was substituted for Michiel Vleminx. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Martin Crușeveanu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Constantin Mudura came out and tried to block the shot, but Martin Crușeveanu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 54th minute. In the 61st minute, Yosua Helguera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Vaslui's Franciszek Lerych got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Isac Hojbota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panait Agachi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isac Hojbota didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Franciszek Lerych went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. FC Vaslui's Pavel Stelea was substituted for Panait Agachi. Constantin Mudura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yosua Helguera in the 76th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Avram Râznicu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Vaslui's supporters rose to their feet, but Avram Râznicu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isac Hojbota breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Politehnica Timisoara's Vali Maghiar was substituted for Yosua Helguera. The supporters of FC Vaslui booed when FC Politehnica Timisoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Almiro Saraiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Eric Galiceanu came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the FC Vaslui fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eric Galiceanu couldn't finish the play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
