Radu Tarchilă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panait Agachi, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Severino Jacinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Romeo Hosu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Constantin Mudura having to make a save. Constantin Mudura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iustinian Comăneci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SuperDepor's Radu Tarchilă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionică Pancu in the 17th minute of play. Constantin Mudura stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iustinian Comăneci's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. After a rather tough play, FC Vaslui's Michiel Vleminx got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute Călin Bolborici shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Constantin Mudura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, SuperDepor's Romeo Hosu got a free kick in the 28th minute. FC Vaslui's Constantin Mudura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Jacinto in the 32nd minute of play. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

FC Vaslui's Franciszek Lerych was substituted for Michiel Vleminx. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Franciszek Lerych was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, FC Vaslui's goalkeeper Constantin Mudura had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Severino Jacinto. Leonard Hirean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iustinian Comăneci in the 57th minute of play forced FC Vaslui's goalkeeper Constantin Mudura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute, Iustinian Comăneci left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SuperDepor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 62ndth minute of the game Iustinian Comăneci who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Vaslui's Constantin Mudura was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 64 minutes of play, SuperDepor's Iustinian Comăneci made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Constantin Mudura was left in no man's land by his defense there! Iustinian Comăneci was extremely unlucky when he, in the 67th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Franciszek Lerych scored 2-3 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Radu Tarchilă, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FC Vaslui made a substitution. Pavel Stelea replaced Panait Agachi. FC Vaslui's Avram Râznicu got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 75th minute, Iustinian Comăneci got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 76 minutes into the match, SuperDepor's goal looked a bit too open when Pavel Stelea came free, but Radu Tarchilă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute, Romeo Hosu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Franciszek Lerych in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Radu Tarchilă saved SuperDepor from getting behind. In the 83rd minute of the match FC Vaslui got a corner. SuperDepor's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eric Galiceanu ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of SuperDepor booed when FC Vaslui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelian Moșoiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Aurelian Moșoiu got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for FC Vaslui. Constantin Mudura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeo Hosu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to SuperDepor getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Mats Gustafsson hit a great ball. Franciszek Lerych recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vintilă Lupeanu kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Constantin Mudura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iustinian Comăneci in the 96th minute of play. The SuperDepor supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SuperDepor would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
